In today's advanced science and technology, a lot of unprecedented things can be realized, like the exploration of the universe, which in ancient times was like flying to the moon, which was the talent of the gods, but through the development of modern science and technology, we can also achieve success. But the costs are brutal and expensive, with the number of people killed for space alone in double figures and the economic cost in the trillions.

But now, as technology has improved, our transportation costs have been brought under control, from $50,000 for one kilogram of material to only $20,000 today, greatly reducing our expenses.

However, scientists still feel that the number is large, and the launch process of the space shuttle or rocket has a certain probability of accident. Especially now, with the retirement of the space shuttle, there are so many unreusable rockets that the cost of space transportation is outrageous.

To solve this problem, scientists have invented a space elevator, a space device once used in science fiction movies. Unlike conventional elevators, they carry us not to the floors of the building, but to a space base 36, 000 kilometers above the ground.

The idea for such a space elevator originated in the 1970s, when it was first proposed by the famous Russian scientist ziorkowski, who believed that in the future we would build a space research base in the geostationary orbit of space. The question of how to get people and materials up to earth became an inevitable question. While everyone thought rockets were the only way, ziorkowski proposed a transportation belt that would connect the space base to the earth's surface.

Ziorkowski says the space ladder is not only safe, it is reusable, so it costs less than a rocket and other means of transport, and that a single kilogram of material can be sent to space for $10.

Since the idea emerged, scientists have agreed that space powers are eager to develop such a space ladder. The United States, in particular, said at the third international space conference in the early 2000s that it had identified the space elevator as a key space research and development project of this century, and that it was expected to be operational by 2019. It's 2018, just a year away, and we don't know if scientists have developed a space elevator, but we're looking forward to it.
